Boy was I a bad girl this week. Fabric.com had a one-day sale earlier this week where some mighty lovely fabric was $3.95 and $4.95 a yard. With the price of fabric so high--and going higher--I thought I'd better embellish my stash a little and also buy some 3-yard pieces for backs. I added . . . gulp . . . 29.5 yards. . . to my stash. Top this off with the fact that I only did applique this week (tiny, tiny pieces), and a binding, I can only add 1 yard to my 'used' column.
Fabric bought this week: 29.5
Fabric used this week: 1
Fabric bought this year: 109.5
Fabric used this year: 68
Total: -41.5

You did use! So don't stress b/c it could have been worse at those prices.
That was a good sale. I was tempted too.
Oh well, there's always next week. At that price, how can you say no, especially for backings.
Don't beat yourself up too much. Fabric is getting to be so expensive when you see a good sale, you can't pass it up. Especially for quilt backs! You'll have it used in no time!
Embrace the fabric!! Love the fabric! join me in my hoarding!! btw, I watch Hoarders just to make sure it never gets that bad in my house! I did use only fabric I owned for the applique project but the Tweets and Florabunda, I did purchase many yards!!
With such great prices, just think of everything you can make. Can't wait to see more of your projects with the new stash.
That sale caught me too! Mine will be here this week. How can you say no to that? I also used a 15% off coupon.
With the rising cost of fabric I am officially call sale fabric purchases an investment.
